Thunder Bay Mining Day (TBMD) serves to raise awareness of the importance of the mining and mineral exploration industries to the economy of Thunder Bay and Northwest Ontario and the importance of rocks and minerals in all of our lives. It is a free, family event held at Marina Park in mid-June consisting of a variety of exciting demonstrations, interactive activities and mining/exploration exhibits. This year will be our 10th anniversary.
