Help shape Thunder Bay's future by attending the second Public Open House for the Central Avenue Development Lands project – a key part of the City's Smart Growth Action Plan.

West Thunder Community Centre (915 Edward Street South)

This event builds on the feedback received from the first Public Open House and the accompanying public survey. This input has helped shape a draft Preferred Development Plan, which will be presented for public review and comment. Feedback gathered at this stage will be used to further refine the plan as the project moves forward, supporting new housing opportunities, investment, and sustainable community growth.

Beyond the initial roads, trails and underground infrastructure works, the potential development of these lands will occur over several years. There will be multiple opportunities for community engagement throughout this project. Note that any changes to the proposed zoning of public or private lands, as well as the process to declare City lands surplus for potential sale, also require formal notices and public consultation.
