On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 7:00 PM, grieving community members are invited to attend Hospice Northwest’s Annual Candlelight Memorial Service at the Da Vinci Centre. Led by Archdeacon Deborah Kraft, this free non-denominational event features a special candle-lighting ceremony, poetry, music, and dance, creating a space where grief is acknowledged and honoured. The evening will include a performance by Image Studio of Dance, whose choreography expresses grief through movement. It will also feature a symbolic handwashing ceremony, a gentle ritual representing the washing away of the heaviness that grief can bring. Elder Beatrice Twance-Hynes will open and close the service.
